2002, Bratislava. Julia graduated from the Department of Dance Theatre and Performance Art at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and is currently studying Intermedia at the Studio of Spatial Communication + at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. Her work has been significantly influenced by 12 years of competitive ballroom dancing, during which she was also a member of the national team, as well as ten years dedicated to artistic dramatic recitation. During her studies at the Academy of Performing Arts, she founded the group Klub Krátkovlasých Víl (Shorthaired Fairies) together with Tereza Pavlíková and Melánia Ondrejčíková. They presented their debut piece Krátkovlasť in Studio 12 as part of the project Mliečne zuby. Strong conceptual tendencies are evident in Julia's current work, but at the same time she works with humor and is not afraid to use objects, many of which she creates (and welds) herself.
