About the festival
At Divadlo Štúdio tanca, we believe that working with future dancers is essential for the healthy and sustainable development of not only the contemporary dance scene. Based on our long-term collaboration with Slovak conservatories, we therefore organize Tvorivé dni – Festival of New Dance Energy.
The event is focused on the systematic education of students of dance departments at Slovak conservatories. Together with lecturers, they will improve their technique and explore various aspects of the creation of a dance work. At the same time, the festival sends an important message to the public – about new dance energy, about the ability to create quality art together, to learn from one another, and to collaborate without prejudice. From students and teachers to dance professionals from around the world – in the heart of Slovakia, in Banská Bystrica.

Who is the festival for?
The festival is intended for 1st to 6th year students of conservatory dance departments who are interested not only in performance, but also in creative principles. Following last year’s success, we are also continuing with workshops for teachers, and this year we once again aim to make the festival attractive to the wider public by presenting performances by professional artists.

Programme
We have prepared a rich programme for all participants, with its core consisting of technical, compositional, and pedagogical workshops. These will be led by experienced lecturers with extensive artistic backgrounds.
In addition to physical participation, students can also look forward to lectures and discussions related to culture and art, as well as evening performances and presentations by renowned artistic groups.
