The Pulse of Pressburg is a multimedia site-specific dance performance set against the authentic backdrop of architecture of historical building of Primate´s Palace.
The performance communicates with the audience through dance, contemporary sound, and visual design. The vibrant, colorful performance recalls the multicultural history of the city, evolving into a multi-ethnic dialogue. It reflects the present and dreams of a future that celebrates diversity.
The aim of this performative work is to revive the building of Primacial´s Palace, a symbol of the city.
The scenic design communicates in opposition to the theme. The colorless white ribbon is like censorship that wants to hide the variety of history, present and future of Bratislava´s culture, but even it will not resist the captivating rhythm of bodies and will paint itself with all the colors. The goal is to introduce performative art as an integral part of the city’s life and culture, engaging both the audience and passers-by.
