Gala Art Moves 2017 [dance contest final]

„Dance as never before“ is a motto of a dance contest Gala Art Moves 2017.

Young artists from all of Slovakia had a chance to sign up and present their original, imaginative and innovative dance solos by sending a video recording through the contest website. The videos were reviewed by the jury which then selected top ten performances. Gala Art Moves is a competition of original dance choreographies of contemporary dance and dance theater in solo forms. The solo performances will be evaluated and awarded according to the quality of their output, originality, and uniqueness of the performance.

The first year of the dance contest will present its finalists on stage of the A4 theater and will offer the best competing solos. The ambition of the organisers is to annually provide space for self-realisation, presentation, comparison of performers' performance ablilities and evaluation of their contribution to the contemporary dance scene.
