Opernball in Modra

The main inspiration for this performance is the famous Vienna Opera Ball, more specifically, the dance performances at this event. Opernball is a metaphore of a somehow closed system, a society which holds a strange sort of hierarchy and values. It is a criticism of a neoliberal approach applied to everything without any distinction. A fear of being excluded from a systematic support is an existential question. Creative process versus basic vital needs - is art something this society needs or do we see it as mere entertainment? We invite you to a "...fresh, witty, and at the same time topically anchored dance work of art." (Dáša Čiripová, theatre cirtic about the show)
